Here’s a peek of me at the office unboxing and logging into a SheevaPlug. It may be useful to you if you are you on a PC trying to use PuTTY for the serial connection and get the “Invalid port number” error, are struggling with Windows drivers, or just tried to your first apt-get update to get the latest Ubuntu repostory, but got the error about missing directories. The Windows drivers I needed to point the hardware auto-detect wizard at for this this video are WindowsTeraTermUSBDriver.zip discussed on the plugcomputer.org and can be downloaded from their serial terminal progam page.
