There is a common wisdom that it doesn’t matter what tools you use, and that with patience and mastery, you can transcend the limitations of any tool. Common wisdom is wrong. The tools you use matter. They are your starting-point, and you have to feel good about using them, and be able to achieve spontaneous mastery to consistently greater effect than your competition.
