I am following the “Learn python the hard way” course and Levinux seems to be an ideal way to learn it in a Linux environment while traveling with a windows laptop. However, I require Python 2.7 for the course. How can I install this instead of Python 3?
I’m no expert, but I entered tce and did a search on Python. It looks like the Tiny Core people don’t support Python 2 anymore.
You probably can still study the language with Python 3. If something doesn’t work use the Internet to find out the difference.
Python 2 works well on Windows, but you miss the Linuxy things :).
Get into the console, edit the Python3.sh file and uncomment out this line tce-load -wi python > /dev/null and comment this one tce-load -wi python3.5-dev. Then run the Python3.sh script, and it’ll install all the stuff, with python2.7 (instead of python3)
