Why is organic SEO superior to paid keyword campaigns? I’ve already discussed persistence of an organic keyword campaign—you can stop paying, and still benefit continues. But it occurred to me today how improved natural search performance is a triple-play over your competitors.
1. It pushes the competition one more position down (and sometimes off the screen) in the natural search results, where they were already getting a free listing.
2. It reduces your reliance on paid keyword campaigns.
3. It forces your competitor to resort to paid keyword campaigns, spending money and resources they would not otherwise.
So, if you keep a natural search campaign up over time, you are systematically taking sales away from your competitor, reducing your expenses, and raising their expenses. Triple play!
