I stopped at the Apple store at 59th Street and 5th Avenue this weekend. I remember that sunken space in the ground in front of FAO Schwartz from when I moved to NYC two years ago. Little did I realize they were going to seal that in and turn it into the Apple store. I’ve been to the Apple store in SoHo, and this is pretty much comparable. The main difference is the underground feeling with the Louvre-like or Hayden Planetarium-like glass box entrance that houses a large, floating Apple logo. Class act.
