## Setting the Stage: Context for the Curious Book Reader

An automated twenty-four-seven broadcast running on a spare Linux laptop in a closet has a paradoxical visual problem: the smoother its automation becomes, the more viewers assume nobody is home. While Nginx access logs scroll across a colorized terminal fishtank and Piper text-to-speech narrates long-form technical essays, the stream resembles a sealed clockwork box. Breaking that illusion does not require dismantling the automation or living on camera; it requires an interrupt channel that lets a human operator step through the glass at any moment from another machine on the LAN. In this session, we map the four-stage double-buffered Alacritty card engine shared between desktop startup and the broadcast studio, expand the station-identification rotation from two segments to five, and wire a remote `ytsay` command over SSH that preempts ongoing narration with a four-beat acoustic and visual cadence: three seconds of deliberate palate-cleansing silence while speech synthesizes in the background, an instant centered Figlet banner with synchronized voice playback, a silent two-and-a-half-second hover inside the frame, and an immediate return to the interrupted story.

**TL;DR**: This article documents the architecture and implementation of a live operator break-in mechanism (`ytsay`) and an expanded station-identification rotation for a 24/7 automated Linux broadcast studio running on NixOS, Nginx, Piper text-to-speech, and X11/Alacritty. It traces how borderless terminal overlays are sized in memory via `pyfiglet`, paired with pre-synthesized PCM audio buffers, pinned to the top of the X11 Z-axis with `wmctrl`, and torn down deterministically via a file-watched stop signal. Finally, it introduces a remote SSH command interface that preempts automated article narration with a four-beat acoustic and visual envelope: a three-second pre-banner silence (during which speech is synthesized), simultaneous banner display and audio playback, a 2.5-second silent visual hold inside the banner, and immediate resumption of the interrupted broadcast.

**MikeLev.in**: Take a look at how I use `card.py` in both `autognome.py` and... well,
I'm not really sure. I'm trying to figure out how I use Alacritty to pop up
those really fast, slick audio double-buffered message cards. It's in my
Honeybot Nginx AI-bot Observatory as Storytime is read controlling the station
identification breaks. I did a lot of this fast and furious with AI-assisted
coding and am really still just trying to get a handle on it asserting control
mostly on the front of:

1. It's almost time for me to really start massaging and developing the
   messaging that gets interwoven with the article getting read on Storytime.
   It's extremely rudimentary right now and I want to leverage it more.
2. I want to develop the capability to "talk out to my YouTube audience" by
   issuing commands on a Pipulate environment command line on Pipulate Prime,
   momentarily silencing any article-reading or station identification coming on
   and blocking audio or Z-axis stomping from either of those until my message
   finishes and releases.

This is the vision of where I'm going with this. Eventually I want to have an
almost Max Headroom like interface where I can talk out over the YouTube
live-stream. I know there is also the YouTube community features and there are
comments on videos and there are messages while a live-stream is going on and I
plan on using all of those too. This is just one of those little something
special extra umph! My broadcast looks like a completely automated AI-generated
thing and it's completely misunderstood so I want to start breaking the pattern
and surprising people.

At some point I'm going to want a notification or something when anyone posts a
comment to the live-stream but that is not for this article; I'm just getting it
out there (add a To-Do, Gemini) because it's part of this whole increased
interactivity with my audience initiative.

## Auditing the Honeybot Observatory and Card Scripts

Okay so the main card thing that I optimized so well is this and you can see my
main operating system, my NeoVim environment and my sort of Brave little Tailor
or Inspector Gadget unfolding of the workshop with `autognome.py`:

    ~/repos/nixos/configuration.nix
    ~/repos/nixos/autognome.py
    init.lua

Right, right. But we've also got these 2 different instances of `card.py` and I
think the `scripts/card.py` is the one that drives autognome while the one down
in the honeybot drives is what its station identification breaks use:

    scripts/card.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py

Okay now I guess I show the whole Honeybot almost everything of which
`stream.py` is very important because it's the outer-control surface for the
show whereas `logs.py` is the interesting panel on it that tails the Nginx
access log file and color-codes it and such. It's the so-called "fishtank"
that's fun to watch. But that's all the backdrop to the story-reading and the
station identification cards popping up over it in normal rotation now. Is that
clear? What I'm talking about is introducing surprise card pop-ups initiated by
the user elsewhere on the LAN most likely using commands that do things over
ssh.

    # OUR HONEYBOT AI OBSERVATORY
    nixops.sh
    remotes/honeybot/hooks/post-receive
    remotes/honeybot/nixos/configuration.nix
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/test_forest.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/logs.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/content_loader.py
    remotes/honeybot/scripts/db.py

And then there's these files that I think are part of the picture but might be a
distraction, but do give the more complete picture.

    imports/ascii_displays.py
    foo_files.py

**Gemini 4 Argon High**: Context verified.

**TL;DR**: Both `autognome.py` (on Pipulate Prime) and `stream.py` (on Honeybot) use the exact same four-stage **Double-Buffered Alacritty Card Engine** driven by `imports/ascii_displays.py` and `card.py`. Below is the complete map of how that engine works, how `forest.py` and `score.py` control your interleaved Storytime messaging, and the first patch car landing the **Live Operator Interrupt (`.live_message`)** inside Honeybot's `content_loader.py` and `stream.py` (plus your requested YouTube Live comment-notification TODO in `foo_files.py`).

---

### 1. How the Double-Buffered Alacritty Card Engine Works

You noticed that `scripts/card.py` and `remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py` both exist. In fact, their executable Python code is **100% identical** (only the top docstring in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py` is longer). `autognome.py` uses `scripts/card.py` locally during your 7-desktop morning boot, while `nixops.sh` syncs `remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py` and `imports/ascii_displays.py` out to Honeybot.

The reason the cards pop up with zero lag, pull tight around the text, sit dead-center, and vanish the exact millisecond the voice finishes is a **four-stage pipeline**:

```text
  STAGE 1: PARENT-SIDE FOOTPRINT MEASUREMENT (imports/ascii_displays.py)
  ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  measure_figlet(label) renders pyfiglet in memory BEFORE spawning X11:
  columns = max(60, fig_w + 8)   |   lines = max(14, fig_h + 4)
                     │
                     ▼
  STAGE 2: BACK-BUFFER AUDIO PRE-SYNTHESIS (Double-Buffering)
  ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  • Pipulate Prime (autognome.py): prep_speech() -> synthesize_to_wav()
  • Honeybot (stream.py):          narrator.prep_raw() -> /tmp/*.raw PCM
  Audio is already rendered on disk BEFORE the window appears.
                     │
                     ▼
  STAGE 3: BORDERLESS ALACRITTY + EWMH Z-AXIS LOCK (conjure_window)
  ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  1. Spawns alacritty -o window.decorations='none' -e card.py label 900 stop_file
  2. _center_and_raise() runs:
     • wmctrl -x -r conjure_window_overlay -b add,above  (pins top of Z-axis)
     • xrandr screen geometry -> wmctrl -e 0,x,y,w,h     (exact pixel center)
  3. Immediately triggers pre-synthesized audio playback (aplay).
                     │
                     ▼
  STAGE 4: EVENT-DRIVEN STOP_FILE TEARDOWN (card.py + dismiss_card)
  ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  card.py polls os.path.exists(stop_file) every 50ms.
  The instant aplay exits, the parent writes "done" to stop_file ->
  card.py exits -> Alacritty closes -> zero dead air, zero clipped words.
```

### 2. Where the Storytime & Station-ID Messaging Lives ("The Trees" vs. "The Forest")

On Honeybot, `stream.py` runs `logs.py` (the Nginx/SQLite "fishtank" HUD) in the foreground terminal while running two background daemon threads (`Narrator` and `start_director_track`):

1. **The Trees (`remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py` + `content_loader.py`)**:
* `score.get_script(breaking=...)` builds the primary cue list: the `"Greetings, entity"` preamble (skipped when `breaking=True`) followed by the article's `("CARD", ...)` title card and `("SAY", paragraph)` cues.
* *(We are pulling `remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py` into `NEXT CONTEXT` below so you can see and edit the opening/closing Storytime framing directly).*

2. **The Forest (`remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py`)**:
* Every `PITCH_INTERVAL` (`600` seconds = 10 minutes), calculated on a drift-free Copper List grid (`next_slot()`), `perform_show()` pauses between article paragraphs and calls `run_station_break()`.
* `run_station_break()` pulls the next bead from `STATION_SEGMENTS` in `forest.py`. Right now `forest.py` has only **2 beads** (`HONEYBOT` and `PIPULATE`), each starting with a voice-synced `("CARD", {"label": "...", "say": "..."})`, followed by a `("PATRONUS", ...)` ASCII art popup and walkthrough `"SAY"` lines.
* You can preview and iterate on `forest.py` locally on Pipulate Prime anytime without touching X11 or audio via:
`python remotes/honeybot/scripts/test_forest.py --fast`

---

### 3. Asserting Live Operator Control ("Max Headroom" Break-In)

If you simply ran `aplay` and `card.py` over SSH from Pipulate Prime while `stream.py` was running, three things would collide:

1. **Audio collision**: `Narrator` is already feeding `aplay` from the article queue, and `Heartbeat` queues `"Signal check. The time is ..."` every 90 seconds (even during station breaks!).
2. **Director collision**: `perform_show()` would immediately fire the next article paragraph or station break while your card was still up.
3. **Z-axis collision**: `stream.py`'s own `CARD` or `PATRONUS` popups would fight your window with `wmctrl -b add,above`.

**The Solution (Single-Owner File Drop)**:
Because `stream.py` already owns the singleton lock (`/tmp/honeybot-stream.py.lock`), the cleanest POSIX pattern is the same one `.deploy_standby` and `.reading_trigger` use, upgraded to carry a payload:

* Dropping `/home/mike/www/mikelev.in/.live_message` (plain text or JSON `{"card": "LIVE\nHUMAN", "say": "..."}`) is detected by `check_live_message()` in `content_loader.py` and unlinked immediately on read so it only plays once.
* In `stream.py`, `wait_for_voice_or_live_interrupt()` polls every `0.15s` while waiting on the voice queue. The moment `.live_message` appears:
1. `narrator.exclusive_mode.set()` locks out `Heartbeat`'s 90-second `"Signal check"` (we also wrap `run_station_break` and `check_standby` in `exclusive_mode` so `Heartbeat` never photobombs station breaks either).
2. `narrator.interrupt()` immediately stops the in-flight `aplay` and flushes unspoken queue items, while `pkill` clears any active `conjure_window_overlay` or `patronus_visual_shield` so nothing competes on the Z-axis.
3. `stream.py` pre-synthesizes your message to `.raw`, pops your Figlet `CARD` (and/or `PATRONUS`), speaks your message, dismisses the card the millisecond you finish, and **resumes the article right where it left off**.

In the next turn (with `scripts/articles/common.py`, `flake.nix`, and `remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py` in context), we will wire a one-word command (`ytsay "message"`) into your Pipulate Prime Broadcast Kit alongside `ytbell` and `ytroll`.

---

**1: BEFORE** (PROBE):

Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:

```bash
diff -u scripts/card.py remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py | head -n 30; .venv/bin/python -c "import sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'remotes/honeybot/scripts'); import content_loader, stream; print('LIVE_MSG_FN:', hasattr(content_loader, 'check_live_message'), hasattr(stream, 'run_live_message'))"
```

**2: AFTER** (NEXT CONTEXT):

Paste into `context.txt` via `context` (or `x`):

```text
foo_files.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/content_loader.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/test_forest.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py
scripts/articles/common.py
flake.nix
nixops.sh
! diff -u scripts/card.py remotes/honeybot/scripts/card.py | head -n 30; .venv/bin/python -c "import sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'remotes/honeybot/scripts'); import content_loader, stream; print('LIVE_MSG_FN:', hasattr(content_loader, 'check_live_message'), hasattr(stream, 'run_live_message'))"
! rg -n "yt(status|bell|roll|card|say)" scripts/articles/common.py flake.nix
```

**3: CHANGE** (PATCHES):

Car 1 banks the YouTube Live comment-notification TODO in `foo_files.py` and lands `check_live_message()`, `run_live_message()`, and the `narrator.exclusive_mode` Z-axis/audio lock in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/content_loader.py` and `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py`.

Ignition: none (the probe imports `content_loader` and `stream` directly at call time; we will deploy to Honeybot via `./nixops.sh` once `ytsay` is wired in the next turn).

**4: PROMPT**:

Verify the AFTER receipt for `check_live_message` and `run_live_message`. Now inspect `remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py`, `remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py`, `scripts/articles/common.py`, and `flake.nix`. Wire the `ytsay` command into `scripts/articles/common.py` and `flake.nix` so I can talk out to my YouTube audience with a custom Figlet card from Pipulate Prime, and show me how to expand the interleaved Storytime/Station-ID messaging in `score.py` and `forest.py`.
```
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
* Clear architectural map of the 4-stage Double-Buffered Alacritty Card Engine (`measure_figlet` -> `prep_speech`/`prep_raw` -> `conjure_window` + `_center_and_raise` -> `stop_file` teardown).
* YouTube Live comment-notification TODO banked in `foo_files.py`.
* `check_live_message()`, `run_live_message()`, `wait_for_voice_or_live_interrupt()`, and `narrator.exclusive_mode` landed in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/content_loader.py` and `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py`, ready to wire to a `ytsay` CLI word on Pipulate Prime in the next turn.
+# - TODO (2026-10-17, YOUTUBE LIVE CHAT & COMMENT NOTIFICATIONS): Add a local notification/alert hook on Pipulate Prime when a viewer posts a chat message or comment on the active YouTube live-stream, pairing with the live operator break-in (`ytsay`) for two-way broadcast interactivity.
 # - TODO (2026-10-17, COMPILER PAYLOAD SIZING GUARD): Add per-item byte/token threshold warnings (or automatic truncation with a loud notice) in `prompt_foo.py`'s Payload Ledger whenever a single file or `!` command receipt exceeds a sane budget (e.g., 50,000 tokens / 200 KB), giving both the operator and the model explicit sizing guardrails before preparing the next `context.txt`.
 # - TODO (2026-10-17, UNIFIED OAUTH WALLET WARMING IN FASTHTML): Replace static `service-account-key.json` dependencies in standalone GSC/Google scripts with user-delegated, admin-revocable OAuth via `connectors/wallet.py` and `warm`, and build a FastHTML Web App Plugin workflow that collects and warms OAuth logins on demand or in a single batch.
 # - TODO (2026-10-16, DESKTOP 2 PIPULATE SERVER STARTUP AUDIO): During `autognome.py` Desktop 2 initialization, `PIPULATE_VOICE=0 nix develop` suppresses voice inside the foreground shellHook, but if `run-server` / `server.py` spawns in a detached tmux session or reads `~/.config/pipulate/voice` (`yes`) without inheriting `PIPULATE_VOICE=0`, the Pipulate server startup narration still plays audibly; trace `flake.nix` tmux server launch and `server.py` startup voice gate so `PIPULATE_VOICE=0` (or an explicit quiet startup flag) silences background server boot during `init`.
It's going to take a `nixops` as expected after `ytsay` is wired up.
**4: PROMPT**:
Verify the AFTER receipt for `check_live_message` and `run_live_message`. Now inspect `remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py`, `remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py`, `scripts/articles/common.py`, and `flake.nix`. Wire the `ytsay` command into `scripts/articles/common.py` and `flake.nix` so I can talk out to my YouTube audience with a custom Figlet card from Pipulate Prime, and show me how to expand the interleaved Storytime/Station-ID messaging in `score.py` and `forest.py`.
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
The ability to play Max Headroom on my own live-feed, or at least the first step
towards something like that.
**Gemini 4 Argon High**: Context verified.
**TL;DR**: The AFTER receipt confirms `check_live_message` and `run_live_message` are live (`LIVE_MSG_FN: True True`). Below is how `score.py` ("The Trees") and `forest.py` ("The Forest") interleave during Storytime, followed by Car 1 wiring `ytsay` into `scripts/articles/common.py` and `flake.nix`, adding a closing bookend card to `score.py`, expanding `forest.py` from 2 to 5 station-break beads using your sealed `imports/ascii_displays.py` art, and making `run_station_break` in `stream.py` voice-synchronized and live-interruptible.
### 1. How Storytime (`score.py`) and Station Breaks (`forest.py`) Interleave
Here is the exact control loop running on Honeybot inside `stream.py`:
```text
  start_director_track()

  score.get_script(breaking=...)   <── "THE TREES" (remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py)

       │  3. Body paragraphs:  ("SAY", paragraph) + inline ("PATRONUS", {"key": ..., "duration": ...})
       │  4. Article closer:   ("CARD", {"label": "READ MORE\nMIKELEV.IN", "say": "..."})  [NEW]
       ▼

                 • Bead 2: PIPULATE     + white_rabbit      (NPvg stack + CRC32 wax seal)
                 • Bead 3: THE AIRLOCK  + mechanical_man    (Tik-Tok of Oz + apply.py key) [NEW]
                 • Bead 4: AI PACHINKO  + ai_pachinko       (Stochastic pins + governor)   [NEW]
                 • Bead 5: LOCAL FIRST + deployment_context(Localhost vs. cloud SaaS) [NEW]
```
Two subtle bugs in the station-break loop are also fixed in Car 1:
1. **Voice-driven `PATRONUS` teardown in `run_station_break()**`: Previously, `forest.py` set `"duration": 80.0` on its `PATRONUS` art, so if the 5 spoken lines finished in 48 seconds, the ASCII art popup lingered on top of the screen for another 32 seconds after Storytime resumed. `run_station_break()` now kills `patronus_visual_shield` the instant the bead's voice queue finishes, treating `80.0` as a safety ceiling just like `card.py` does.
2. **Dead-code cleanup + live interruptibility during station breaks**: Car 1 removes the 11 unreachable lines left after `return` in `run_station_break()` and routes its queue wait through `wait_for_voice_or_live_interrupt()` (guarded by `_in_live_message`) so `ytsay` preempts station breaks just as fast as article reading.
## Interleaving the Storytime Trees with Five Forest Beads
---
### 2. How to Use `ytsay` ("Max Headroom" Break-In)
Once Car 1 lands (and you run `exit` then `ndq`, plus `./nixops.sh` to push the updated scripts to Honeybot), you have four ways to break in live from `(nix) pipulate $`:
* **Default Card (`LIVE / FROM MIKE`) + Spoken Message**:
`ytsay "Hey everyone watching live, thanks for tuning in to the Honeybot!"`
* **Custom Figlet Banner (`-c` / `--card`) + Spoken Message**:
`ytsay -c "MAX\nHEADROOM" "Hold the presses! A human is in the loop."`
* **Registered Patronus ASCII Art (`-p` / `--patronus`) + Spoken Message**:
`ytsay -p mechanical_man "Two keys wound by AI, one action key on the wall."`
* **Clipboard Mode (`--clip`, e.g., after yanking a paragraph in Neovim)**:
`ytsay -c "LIVE NOTE" --clip`
---
**1: BEFORE** (PROBE):
Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:
```bash
.venv/bin/python remotes/honeybot/scripts/test_forest.py --fast | grep -E "beads|BEAD|CARD|PATRONUS|DRIFT|All beads"; .venv/bin/python scripts/articles/common.py --broadcast say --dry-run -c "MAX\nHEADROOM" "Hello from Pipulate Prime" 2>&1 || echo "YTSAY_MISSING"
```
**2: AFTER** (NEXT CONTEXT):
Paste into `context.txt` via `context` (or `x`):
```text
foo_files.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/content_loader.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py
scripts/articles/common.py
flake.nix
! .venv/bin/python remotes/honeybot/scripts/test_forest.py --fast | grep -E "beads|BEAD|CARD|PATRONUS|DRIFT|All beads"; .venv/bin/python scripts/articles/common.py --broadcast say --dry-run -c "MAX\nHEADROOM" "Hello from Pipulate Prime" 2>&1 || echo "YTSAY_MISSING"
! rg -n "yt(status|bell|roll|card|say)" scripts/articles/common.py flake.nix
```
**3: CHANGE** (PATCHES):
Car 1 wires `ytsay` into `scripts/articles/common.py` and `flake.nix`, upgrades `run_live_message` and `run_station_break` in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py`, adds the closing article bookend card in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py`, and expands `remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py` to 5 beads.
Car 2 deploys the updated Honeybot scripts (`content_loader.py`, `stream.py`, `score.py`, `forest.py`) to Honeybot via `./nixops.sh` and restarts `stream.py` so the live break-in listener and the 5 station-break beads are active on air.
Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:
```bash
./nixops.sh && ssh honeybot 'pkill -TERM -f "/home/mike/www/mikelev[.]in/scripts/stream[.]py" || true; sleep 6; pgrep -af "/home/mike/www/mikelev[.]in/scripts/stream[.]py"'
```
Ignition: Run `exit` then `ndq` (or `nix develop`) so the new `ytsay` shell function from `flake.nix` loads into your interactive shell, then test a live break-in on your stream with `ytsay -c "LIVE\nFROM MIKE" "Testing one two three from Pipulate Prime."`.
**4: PROMPT**:
```text
Verify the AFTER receipts for the 5 `forest.py` station-break beads, `ytsay` (`common.py --broadcast say --dry-run`), and the live Honeybot deployment. If everything is green and witnessed, we are ready to dismount or test a live break-in on the air.
```
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
* `ytsay` command wired into `scripts/articles/common.py` (`--broadcast say`) and `flake.nix` supporting custom Figlet cards (`-c`), Patronus ASCII art (`-p`), clipboard input (`--clip`), and dry-run inspection (`--dry-run`).
* `remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py` expanded from 2 to 5 self-contained station-break beads (`HONEYBOT`, `PIPULATE`, `THE AIRLOCK`, `AI PACHINKO`, `LOCAL FIRST`) verified against `FIGURATE_LEDGER` CRC32 seals.
* `remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py` updated with a closing `READ MORE / MIKELEV.IN` bookend card inviting live chat interaction.
* `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py` cleaned of unreachable lines in `run_station_break` and upgraded with voice-synchronized Patronus teardown and live-interrupt polling during station breaks.
**4: PROMPT**:
Verify the AFTER receipts for the 5 `forest.py` station-break beads, `ytsay` (`common.py --broadcast say --dry-run`), and the live Honeybot deployment. If everything is green and witnessed, we are ready to dismount or test a live break-in on the air.
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
That's fine. We refine.
**Gemini 4 Argon High**: Context verified.
**TL;DR**: The AFTER receipts confirm all 5 station-break beads in `forest.py` (`beads : 5`) and the `ytsay` dry-run payload (`MAX\nHEADROOM`). The live `ytsay` call hit a classic OpenSSH remote-shell quoting trap: `ssh` concatenates arguments after the hostname into a single string for the remote `bash -c`, leaving `python3 -c <script>` unquoted so `bash` choked on the `(` in `Path.home()`. Car 1 fixes this using the same `python3 -` stdin-script pattern that `run_honeybot_obs` uses, passing the JSON payload as a shell-safe Base64 argument (`sys.argv[1]`).
---
### Why `ssh honeybot python3 -c ...` Broke (and How `python3 -` Fixes It)
Unlike `subprocess.run()` locally—which passes `argv` directly to `execve()` without a shell—the `ssh` client joins all arguments after the hostname with spaces and hands that single string to the remote login shell (`bash -c "..."`).
1. **What failed**: `["ssh", HONEYBOT_SSH_HOST, "python3", "-c", remote_py]` became `bash -c "python3 -c import pathlib, sys; p = pathlib.Path.home() ..."` on Honeybot, causing remote `bash` to fail at `(` before `python3` ever started.
2. **The fix**: Pass `_HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER` over `stdin` (`python3 -`) and pass the JSON payload as a Base64-encoded `sys.argv[1]` (`[A-Za-z0-9+/=]` contains zero shell metacharacters). We also guard `_HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER` with `ast.parse()` per `§ THE EMBEDDED-SOURCE AST BLINDSPOT`, and preserve `narrator.exclusive_mode` in `stream.py` if a live break-in interrupts an already-exclusive station break.
*(Note: The `test_forest.py` receipt also flagged a pre-existing wax-seal CRC mismatch on `honeybot_pipeline`; you can clear that anytime at a `(nix) pipulate $` prompt by typing `reseal`).*
---
**1: BEFORE** (PROBE):
Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:
```bash
.venv/bin/python -c "import ast, sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'scripts/articles'); import common; print('LIVE_HELPER_AST:', hasattr(common, '_HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER') and bool(ast.parse(common._HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER)))"
```
**2: AFTER** (NEXT CONTEXT):
Paste into `context.txt` via `context` (or `x`):
```text
foo_files.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/content_loader.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py
remotes/honeybot/scripts/score.py
scripts/articles/common.py
flake.nix
! .venv/bin/python -c "import ast, sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'scripts/articles'); import common; print('LIVE_HELPER_AST:', hasattr(common, '_HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER') and bool(ast.parse(common._HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER)))"
```
**3: CHANGE** (PATCHES):
Car 1 replaces the unquoted `ssh ... python3 -c` call in `scripts/articles/common.py` with `_HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER` piped to `python3 - <base64_payload>`, and preserves `narrator.exclusive_mode` state with a 0.8s post-card breath in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py`.
Ignition: Run `./nixops.sh && ytsay -c "LIVE\nFROM MIKE" "Testing one two three from Pipulate Prime."` in `(nix) pipulate $` to sync `stream.py` and trigger your live break-in on Honeybot.
**4: PROMPT**:
```text
Verify the AFTER receipt (`LIVE_HELPER_AST: True`) and the live `ytsay` broadcast break-in on Honeybot.
```
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
* `send_honeybot_live_message()` in `scripts/articles/common.py` refactored to pipe `_HONEYBOT_LIVE_MSG_HELPER` to `python3 -` over SSH with a Base64-encoded JSON argument, eliminating remote shell quoting errors.
* `run_live_message()` in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py` updated to preserve outer `exclusive_mode` state and add a 0.8s post-card breath before resuming the interrupted broadcast.
Wow, that worked perfectly!
Witnessed by human.
Now I need a way to make a buffer of space around it but I want it to sound
intentional. The audio stopping buffer before MUST BE BEFORE BANNER APPEARS! If
the banner appears and we get an audio buffer then it's going to sound like an
unintentional delay but the real flex is to silence the whatever is going on
first which gets the attention then the banner pops up and immediately talking.
And then when the talking with the banner is done the banner hovers for a few
moments with the end of the buffer "inside" the banner.
Does that make sense? A buffer before of about 3 seconds to clear the plate and
cleanse the palate and then BAM! And it liners a few moments and POOF! And at
the instant of the poof whatever reading was going on starts again.
**4: PROMPT**:
Verify the AFTER receipt (`LIVE_HELPER_AST: True`) and the live `ytsay` broadcast break-in on Honeybot.
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
Invisible hands momentarily flashing visible with rare intentionality on time
sync issues for stuff like this which creates a very unique and distinctive
signature.
**Gemini 4 Argon High**: Context verified.
**TL;DR**: `LIVE_HELPER_AST: True` and the live `ytsay` break-in on Honeybot are both witnessed. Car 1 reshapes the `ytsay` envelope in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py` and `scripts/articles/common.py` so the 3.0-second silence happens **before** the banner appears (while pre-synthesizing your `.raw` audio in the background of that silence), the banner pops and speaks **immediately** ("BAM!"), hovers silently for **2.5 seconds** *inside* the banner after speech ends, and then vanishes ("POOF!") at the exact instant the pre-buffered Storytime reading resumes.
---
### The 4-Beat "Cut -> Cleanse -> BAM -> Linger -> POOF" Envelope
Because `dispatch_cue("SAY", ...)` pre-renders the *next* article paragraph into `/tmp/*.raw` before entering `wait_for_voice_or_live_interrupt()`, the next paragraph is already sitting on disk waiting for `run_live_message()` to return. Moving the buffers into the right places gives you zero-lag transitions on both ends:
```text
  ARTICLE READING IN PROGRESS ("...cascading wall of text...")
       │
       ▼ ytsay triggered from Pipulate Prime (.live_message arrives)
  [t = 0.0s]  BEAT 1: THE PALATE CLEANSER (pre_pause = 3.0s, NO BANNER YET)
       │ • narrator.interrupt() cuts ongoing article audio immediately
       │ • Bare fishtank scrolls in sudden, intentional 3.0s silence
       │ • Piper pre-synthesizes your live message .raw INSIDE this 3.0s window
       ▼
  [t = 3.0s]  BEAT 2: BAM! BANNER POPS + IMMEDIATE SPEECH
       │ • show_card() raises the centered Figlet banner
       │ • play_raw() fires the already-synthesized .raw immediately (zero lag)
       ▼
  [speech end] BEAT 3: HOVER INSIDE THE BANNER (linger = 2.5s)
       │ • Voice finishes; banner stays up on screen for 2.5s in silence
       │ • Letting the visual message land before the cut back
       ▼
  [t = end] BEAT 4: POOF! INSTANT TEARDOWN + IMMEDIATE RESUME
              • dismiss_card() closes the Alacritty window (0.0s post-card sleep)
              • Pre-buffered Storytime paragraph starts speaking at the exact POOF!
```
Both timers default to `--pre 3.0` and `--linger 2.5` on `ytsay` and can be overridden per call if you ever want a longer or shorter pause.
---
**1: BEFORE** (PROBE):
Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:
```bash
.venv/bin/python scripts/articles/common.py --broadcast say --dry-run -c "LIVE\nFROM MIKE" "Testing palate cleanser" | grep -E '"(card|pre_pause|linger)"'; rg -c "pre_pause|linger" remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py
```
**2: AFTER** (NEXT CONTEXT):
Paste into `context.txt` via `context` (or `x`):
```text

```
**3: CHANGE** (PATCHES):
Car 1 updates `dispatch_cue` and `run_live_message` in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py` and `send_honeybot_live_message` in `scripts/articles/common.py` with `pre_pause` (default `3.0`s before the banner appears, absorbing TTS synthesis) and `linger` (default `2.5`s inside the banner before `dismiss_card`, with zero delay after `dismiss_card`).
Car 2 syncs the updated `stream.py` to Honeybot, restarts the running `stream.py` child so it loads the new envelope, and fires a live `ytsay` test.
Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:
```bash
./nixops.sh && ssh honeybot 'pkill -TERM -f "/home/mike/www/mikelev[.]in/scripts/stream[.]py" || true; sleep 6; pgrep -af "/home/mike/www/mikelev[.]in/scripts/stream[.]py"'
```
Ignition: Wait ~15 seconds for Honeybot's `stream.py` to begin reading the article, then run `ytsay -c "LIVE\nFROM MIKE" "Testing the three second palate cleanser and banner hover."` in `(nix) pipulate $`.
**4: PROMPT**:
```text
Verify the AFTER receipt for `pre_pause` and `linger` and confirm the live `ytsay` 4-beat cadence (3s pre-silence -> BAM banner + immediate speech -> 2.5s hover inside banner -> POOF immediate resume). If everything is green, let's dismount.
```
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
* 4-beat live operator break-in envelope (`pre_pause=3.0`, background `.raw` pre-synthesis during silence, simultaneous banner + speech, `linger=2.5` inside the banner, and 0.0s post-dismiss resume) landed in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/stream.py` and `scripts/articles/common.py`.
**4: PROMPT**:
Verify the AFTER receipt for `pre_pause` and `linger` and confirm the live `ytsay` 4-beat cadence (3s pre-silence -> BAM banner + immediate speech -> 2.5s hover inside banner -> POOF immediate resume). If everything is green, let's dismount.
**5: DELIVERABLE**:
Wow, I just have to make it now so that it's super convenient to use. I think
that may already be done. Give me the instructions in a nutshell. And I think I
heard you say something about writing something in NeoVim and copying into the
clipboard and then doing something? If so you are very good at inferring I was
going to want that. First show me how stuff works again. I'm sure you already
showed me but now I have to start myelinating. Or alternatively I have to
massage the commands to be low friction and encourage myself to use them and
then start myelinating.
Thing is I need to think about it clearly enough to try this and that and
decide. Please and thank you! Oh and well done in general here. Again very
impressive, Gemini 4.
**Gemini 4 Argon High**: Context verified.
**TL;DR**: The AFTER receipt confirms `pre_pause: 3.0`, `linger: 2.5`, and `stream.py` references (`1 -> 15`), and your live Honeybot test (`PID 3789954`) witnessed the 4-beat cadence on the air. Below is the **Nutshell Cheat Sheet** for myelinating `ytsay`—including how to write and yank live break-ins straight from Neovim—followed by a small polish car that lets `ytsay --clip` parse optional `CARD:` / `PATRONUS:` header lines directly from your yanked text and banks this ride's receipt in `foo_files.py`.
### 2. The 4 `ytsay` Patterns to Myelinate
From any `(nix) pipulate $` prompt on Pipulate Prime:
1. **The Instant Voice Break-In** (uses default `LIVE / FROM MIKE` Figlet card):
```bash
ytsay "Hey everyone watching live, thanks for tuning in to the Honeybot!"
```
2. **Custom 1- or 2-Line Figlet Card (`-c`)**:
```bash
ytsay -c "MAX\nHEADROOM" "Hold the presses! A human is in the loop."
```
3. **Registered Patronus ASCII Art (`-p`, alone or paired with `-c`)**:
```bash
ytsay -p mechanical_man "Two keys wound by AI, one action key on the wall."
```
*(Available art keys in `imports/ascii_displays.py`: `honeybot_pipeline`, `white_rabbit`, `mechanical_man`, `ai_pachinko`, `deployment_context`, `magic_mirror`, `sausage_factory`, `system_architecture`, `workspace_tree`).*
4. **The Neovim -> Clipboard Lane (`ytsay --clip`)**:
Because your `init.lua` sets `vim.opt.clipboard = "unnamedplus"`, anything you yank in Neovim (`yy`, `vip` then `y`, or visual-select then `y`) lands directly in your system clipboard.
* **Why `--clip` is an explicit flag**: If bare `ytsay` with no arguments automatically spoke your clipboard, an accidental `ytsay [Enter]` could read a yanked code block or secret out loud on YouTube Live. Requiring `--clip` is your safety interlock.
* **Even smoother (landing in Car 1 below)**: Car 1 teaches `send_honeybot_live_message()` to recognize optional `CARD:` and `PATRONUS:` header lines at the top of your yanked text. That means inside Neovim you can write:
```text
CARD: PLOT\nTWIST
Yes, a real human is typing this in Neovim right now while you watch the logs.
```
Yank those lines (`vip` then `y`), switch to `(nix) pipulate $`, and type:
```bash
ytsay --clip
```
It strips the `CARD:` line into the Figlet banner and speaks only the body text.
---
**1: BEFORE** (PROBE):
Run this in `(nix) pipulate $`:
```bash
.venv/bin/python -c "import sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'scripts/articles'); import common; common.send_honeybot_live_message('CARD: NEO\\nVIM\nHello from buffer', dry_run=True)" | grep -E '"(card|say)"'
```
**2: AFTER** (NEXT CONTEXT):
Paste into `context.txt` via `context` (or `x`):
```text
foo_files.py
scripts/articles/common.py
! .venv/bin/python -c "import sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'scripts/articles'); import common; common.send_honeybot_live_message('CARD: NEO\\nVIM\nHello from buffer', dry_run=True)" | grep -E '"(card|say)"'
! awk '/^# --- START RECEIPTS/{f=1;next} /^# --- END RECEIPTS/{f=0} f' foo_files.py | wc -l
```
**3: CHANGE** (PATCHES):
Car 1 adds inline `CARD:` / `PATRONUS:` header parsing to `send_honeybot_live_message()` in `scripts/articles/common.py` (for frictionless Neovim `vip` + `y` -> `ytsay --clip` use) and banks this ride's receipt and `# § THE SILENT PALATE CLEANSER` key in `foo_files.py`.
Verify the AFTER receipts for inline `CARD:` parsing in `common.py` and the 20-line receipt cap in `foo_files.py`, and close out the ride.
```

**5: DELIVERABLE**:

* Concise `ytsay` & Storytime/Forest cheat sheet for myelination.
* Inline `CARD:` and `PATRONUS:` header parsing added to `send_honeybot_live_message()` in `scripts/articles/common.py` so multi-line blocks yanked in Neovim can specify their own banner and body for `ytsay --clip`.
* Ride receipt and `# § THE SILENT PALATE CLEANSER` banked in `foo_files.py`.

**MikeLev.in**: Yep, I tried each of the ways of using `ytsay` and they all worked
exactly as advertised and as expected. Witnessed by human! Excellent work,
Gemini. This is a game changer. I'm probably going to rush to some project to
let me know when there's been a post. I may have to also make a way to do this
sort of command-line stuff from my phone probably making a bridge to a web app
but that's not this article.

Okay this final 5-Car Train and then we do the article wrap.

 # § THE WIRE VERDICT (banked 2026-07-12) -- When a technical claim postdates training, verify on the wire before scoffing: steelman first, search second, concede specifically, correct precisely, and grade hardware-scaling claims by heat and leakage rather than lithography alone.

Four fates: a RULE graduates to a key in place; a RECEIPT fades off the capped newest-first block; an EARMARK is a value without a key and either graduates or demotes to a todo; a TODO stays one line and dies when done. THE KEY TEST: would this line, read cold, have prevented the conviction that banked it? Family rosters ride the parent key, never every child.
 # § THE ACTUATOR IS NOT THE LEDGER (banked 2026-09-26, convicted by commit 7dd5d832) -- never bank a receipt, conviction or rule in apply.py: it rides the fixed tail of EVERY compile, so a comment line there is read on every future turn about every other project; a comment enters apply.py only beside the code it explains, in the car that changes that code, and apply.py refuses a patch to itself that adds comment lines and changes none, on both arms, with vim as the only override. Bank in foo_files.py (a TODO, a rule body, or a § key) and let forget graduate it to GLOSSARY.md. "It is always in context, so the patch will land" is the reason to refuse the placement, never the reason to choose it.

Ignition: often "exit", "nix develop". Instructions may vary.

**4: PROMPT**:

Verify the AFTER receipts for inline `CARD:` parsing in `common.py` and the 20-line receipt cap in `foo_files.py`, and close out the ride.

**5: DELIVERABLE**:

Done looks like this.

Hop off the ride. This ride's stated goal is reached -- dismount.
This is the NOTARY BEAT: the ride ends here, is witnessed here, and is
sealed here. Answer all seven beats, briefly:

0. **TL;DR**: a short, dry, neutral abstract for the TOP of the published
   article -- written for an unfamiliar reader or AI summarizer who has
   never seen this system. No hype, no insider handles unexplained.
1. VERIFY: restate the goal from the top of this article and confirm
   (or deny) it was met, citing THIS compile's receipts, not memory.
   Name any ignition this ride required that never fired -- an AFTER
   tap taken without one is a stale BEFORE wearing the AFTER's label.
2. BANK: name everything that graduates -- rule, earmark, todo, pin --
   as SEARCH/REPLACE patch cars against raw source present in THIS
   context (Target line inside the fence, one car per commit story),
   deletions included. A 'paste-ready' line with no Target and no
   SEARCH anchor is not banked; it is a hand edit the operator will
   not make. These BANK cars are the ONLY patches a dismount emits.
3. DANGLING: what carries forward unbanked? One line each, no essays.
4. SEED: the context.txt lines (and TODO_SLUGS if narrative context is
   needed) for the next ride's first compile.
5. CLOSING: a closing summary for the BOTTOM of the article -- the
   final take-away, tied to the book's larger arc where it fits
   naturally, never forced. Storytelling over inventory.
6. NOTARIZE: read the exact Deed line from THIS compile's final
   QA ARCHIVE SEAL footer, outside the payload, not a quoted older
   footer or a newest-file guess. It names the input archive, not
   this later response or the generated Jekyll post. State verification
   separately: only a verifier receipt naming that archive supports
   a verified claim; otherwise say not independently verified here.
   Count this Manifest's live-command receipts, including failures.
   Quote only recorded digests, sizes and dates, naming their source;
   filesystem mtime and fixed ZIP dates are not command timestamps.
   Do not demand absent wc -c or dated-receipt fields. If the footer
   is missing, say so; otherwise close with its exact Deed line.

FINALITY: after beat 6, this discussion is CLOSED. Emit NO five-car
train, NO probes, NO patches beyond the BANK cars of beat 2, and NO
next-turn prompt beyond the SEED lines in beat 4. Any reader or model
encountering this article later should treat it as a finished,
notarized document -- an archive entry, not an open thread.

**Gemini 4 Argon High**: Context verified.

### 1. VERIFY

* **Opening Goal**: (1) Map the double-buffered Alacritty card engine (`card.py` + `imports/ascii_displays.py`) across `autognome.py` and Honeybot's `stream.py`, and expand the interleaved Storytime (`score.py`) and Station-ID (`forest.py`) messaging; (2) build a live command-line break-in tool (`ytsay`) on Pipulate Prime that momentarily preempts article or station-break narration on Honeybot, blocks competing audio or X11 Z-axis overlays, and frames the operator's message with an intentional 3-second pre-banner silence and a 2.5-second in-banner hover before immediately resuming the show.
* **Confirmed by Receipts**:
* **THIS compile's Manifest receipts (2/2)**:
1. `! .venv/bin/python -c "import sys; sys.path.insert(0, 'scripts/articles'); import common; common.send_honeybot_live_message('CARD: NEO\\nVIM\nHello from buffer', dry_run=True)" | grep -E '"(card|say)"'` -> `"card": "NEO",` and `"say": "VIM Hello from buffer",`, proving inline `CARD:` header extraction in `scripts/articles/common.py` (the double-quoted bash command turned `\\n` into a literal newline before Python parsed the string, splitting `NEO` and `VIM` across lines; the BANK car below extends the parser so multiple `CARD:` lines also stack cleanly).
2. `! awk '/^# --- START RECEIPTS/{f=1;next} /^# --- END RECEIPTS/{f=0} f' foo_files.py | wc -l` -> `20`, confirming the `START RECEIPTS` block in `foo_files.py` is at its exact 20-line cap.

* **Earlier ride straddles & ignitions (all fired and witnessed)**:
* `check_live_message` and `run_live_message`: `LIVE_MSG_FN: False False` -> `True True` (deed 20).
* Station-break beads in `remotes/honeybot/scripts/forest.py`: `beads : 2` -> `beads : 5` (`HONEYBOT`, `PIPULATE`, `THE AIRLOCK`, `AI PACHINKO`, `LOCAL FIRST`) and `LIVE_HELPER_AST: False` -> `True` (deeds 21–22).
* 4-beat cadence (`pre_pause: 3.0`, `linger: 2.5`): `stream.py` references `1 -> 15` (deed 22), ignited via `exit` + `ndq`, deployed to Honeybot via `./nixops.sh`, restarted on Honeybot (`PID 3789954`), and witnessed live on the YouTube broadcast across all four `ytsay` invocation modes.

### 5. CLOSING

For months, the Honeybot AI Observatory has been a silent fishtank: an old laptop in a closet running NixOS and Nginx, tailing its own access logs onto YouTube while Piper TTS reads the book that describes how it was built. To a casual passerby, an automated 24/7 stream looks like a sealed clockwork box—another unmanned "set it and forget it" bot farm.

What changes everything is not turning off the automation, but letting the human step through the glass at will. When the voice stops mid-sentence, the fishtank scrolls in three seconds of deliberate silence, a giant Figlet banner snaps to the center of the screen with zero synthesis lag, speaks directly to the room, lingers in silence for two and a half seconds, and vanishes right as the story resumes, the illusion of an unattended machine breaks. Like Tik-Tok of Oz, the thought and speech keys can wind as fast as the hardware allows, so long as the action key—and the microphone—remain firmly in the human's hand.

## Book Analysis

### Ai Editorial Take
What stands out most in this entry is how a theatrical problem and a systems-latency problem solved each other with the exact same three-second pause. In live broadcasting, cutting from a continuous voice stream to a new speaker without a gap sounds like a glitch, and popping a visual card on screen before the voice is ready to speak looks like lag. By severing the ongoing audio first and holding the bare scrolling log fishtank in silence for three seconds while Piper renders the `.raw` PCM buffer in the background, the computational work of text-to-speech synthesis is hidden inside dramatic pacing. The audience experiences the silence as an intentional 'hold the presses' beat, and when the Alacritty window maps to X11, the voice fires at millisecond zero.

### Title Brainstorm
* **Title Option:** Max Headroom in the Terminal: Preempting Automated Broadcasts with Live SSH Cards
  * **Filename:** `max-headroom-live-operator-break-in-ytsay.md`
  * **Rationale:** Captures the exact cultural touchstone from the opening prompt alongside the concrete technical mechanism (`ytsay` SSH live break-in cards) and the tension between automation and live human presence.
* **Title Option:** The Silent Palate Cleanser: Four-Beat Live Interrupts for Automated Linux Broadcasts
  * **Filename:** `silent-palate-cleanser-four-beat-broadcast-interrupt.md`
  * **Rationale:** Highlights the signature acoustic and visual discovery of the session—using pre-banner silence to signal intentionality while masking background TTS synthesis.
* **Title Option:** Double-Buffered Alacritty Cards, Five-Bead Station Breaks, and the ytsay Break-In
  * **Filename:** `alacritty-figlet-cards-ssh-live-stream-preemption.md`
  * **Rationale:** Front-loads the specific wire-truth architecture (Alacritty, Figlet, SSH preemption, and station-break beads) for readers scanning for Linux broadcast tooling.
* **Title Option:** The Trees, the Forest, and the Operator: Live Voice Preemption on Honeybot
  * **Filename:** `trees-and-forest-storytime-station-break-beads.md`
  * **Rationale:** Frames the three concentric layers of the broadcast loop—article narration, ten-minute station breaks, and one-shot live operator interrupts.

### Content Potential And Polish
- **Core Strengths:**
  - Clear architectural breakdown of the four-stage double-buffered Alacritty card pipeline (`measure_figlet`, PCM pre-synthesis, EWMH Z-axis centering via `wmctrl`, and `stop_file` teardown).
  - Concrete debugging receipt of the classic OpenSSH remote login shell quoting trap (`ssh host python3 -c ...` vs. piping helper code to `python3 -` with a Base64-encoded argument).
  - Insightful theatrical and systems design in the four-beat break-in envelope, turning TTS synthesis latency into an intentional three-second acoustic palate cleanser before the banner appears.
  - Seamless ergonomic progression from command-line flags to yanking `CARD:`-prefixed text blocks directly out of a Neovim buffer via `ytsay --clip`.
- **Suggestions For Polish:**
  - When adapting this chapter for the book, include a small timeline diagram contrasting an unbuffered popup (banner appears -> 2 seconds of awkward synthesis silence -> speech) against the palate-cleanser envelope (audio cuts -> 3 seconds of silent fishtank while synthesizing -> simultaneous banner and speech).
  - Briefly explain the `exclusive_mode` threading event early in the narrative so readers unfamiliar with `stream.py` immediately see why a naive SSH `aplay` command would collide with the 90-second heartbeat thread.

### Next Step Prompts
- Design a lightweight YouTube Live chat and comment poller for Pipulate Prime that triggers an audible/visual desktop alert when a viewer posts a message, formatting the viewer's handle and comment into a Neovim scratch buffer ready for `ytsay --clip`.
- Inspect `imports/ascii_displays.py` and run `reseal` to reconcile the `honeybot_pipeline` CRC32 wax-seal drift flagged by `test_forest.py`, then verify all five station-break beads pass with zero warnings.
